Episode 15: Massimo Frascella: Land Rover’s Creative Director on designing the new Defender, watches and updating Icons.

This week we take a turn for the automotive with special guest Massimo Frascella. Massimo is the creative director for Land Rover and heavily involved in the delicate dance that is updating the iconic Defender. We get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into car design, as well as the veteran car designers take on watch design, from the Zenith collaborations through to his take on vintage reissues, ‘iconic’ design and the importance of good proportions. Plus, we chat about the watches that make it onto Massimo’s wrist, such as the Panerai he bought in the Florentine boutique and everyone’s favourite French micro, Baltic.

This episode is made possible by Swiss Typefaces.
