Today's guest, Matt Oosthuizen, is one of the co-founders of Apiar, a UK-based watch brand that's the result of a passion, not just for watches, but for experimenting with new technologies. Apiar, which debuted in 2023, is literally built different. Rather than following the traditional path, Apiar leans into additive manufacturing. With cases and dials printed used the 3D technology, Apiar makes designs which could not be achieved through traditional methods, and as Oosthuizen notes, its a constantly evolving process, both as Apiar grows and the technology itself develops. Beyond the innovation, Apier strives to use UK-based suppliers, resulting in watches quite unlike anything else out there.
